Development of Sleep Apnea Therapy
Sleep is an important factor that is overlooked by many people. Some individuals take coffee to stay awake for long hours without understating the consequences of their actions. People who fail to get sufficient sleep have a marked difference in their appearance. Blood-shots, puffy eyes and wrinkles are some of the effects of sleep deprivation.
Sleep apnea is one of the conditions that characterize lack of sufficient sleep. It describes breathing pauses that occur when one is sleeping. Dr. Avi Weisfogel encourages people to get sufficient sleep because it rejuvenates their energy. Reports indicate that sleep apnea often affects overweight individuals.
Avi Weisfogel acquired a BA in psychology and biology from Rutgers University. He also attended New York University College of Dentistry where he was awarded a DDS. Having acquired skills and qualifications to establish a dental institution, Dr. Avi established Old Bridge Dental Care in 1999. The organization won several awards for the best dental institution. Dr. Weisfogel felt he needed to achieve more in his career. He decided to help research and develop a remedy for sleep disorders.
Dr. Avi’s mission was to establish a worldwide solution for sleep apnea patients. He believed the treatment could be utilized by dentists to improve their services as they catered for their patients. In 2012, Avi founded Owner Sleep Patients. This was a common platform for experienced dentists and experts. These professionals shared their views and expertise about sleep apnea.
In 2014, Dr. Weisfogel pioneered Dental Sleep Masters Program. The platform was mandated to develop a solution for patients who were suffering from sleep disorders. Dental Sleep Masters provided orally applied therapy, a special therapy that prevents sleep obstruction.
